话说这个天文数字都是无数消费者在双十一这一“购物狂欢”(shopping spree ) 中一步一步达成的。那么我们今天就一起来盘点下和“双十一”相关的英语表达。

Definition（定义）: to shop a lot in a small period of time; it usually involves spending a lot of money

Alibaba and JD were all geared up for China’s Single’s Day shopping spree.

Definition（定义）: to shop a lot in a day until you are so tired you feel you want “to drop” – to sit/lie down

Definition（定义）: (often used in funny way): the act of shopping for therapy, to make oneself feel better

Definition（定义）: used to say that something is too expensive for what it is; when one thinks the price doesn’t appropriately reflect the value it has (very negative meaning)

Henry saw a coat being sold in that department store for RMB 5000. That’s a rip-off!

Henry 看到那家店里有一件大衣卖到5000元了。这简直就是敲诈啊！

Definition（定义）: to cut/reduce/decrease prices (the cost of something)

（大幅度）降价

Stores often slash their prices to get rid of things that are no long popular.

商店通常通过减价的方式把过时的东西处理掉。
